Origin

This video is a great reminder of who the source of all TRUTH is and where we should always turn for guidance on a daily basis.  Prayer is such a simple act of faith but is loaded with power when we humble ourselves and ask God for help.  I encourage you to watch the video above and read the scriptures below.  Remember, you are NOT alone and always have a loving Heavenly Father who is anxious and ready to answer your prayers.

 10 In the midst of this war of words and tumult of opinions, I often said to myself: What is to be done? Who of all these parties are right; or, are they all wrong together? If any one of them be^aright, which is it, and how shall I know it?

 11 While I was laboring under the extreme difficulties caused by the contests of these parties of religionists, I was one day reading the ^aEpistle of James, first chapter and fifth verse, which reads: If any of you lack ^bwisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. (James 1:5)

Joseph Smith left us a perfect example of turning to God in prayer when we lack wisdom and understanding.  I am grateful that he had the faith to follow the above scripture and pray to have his experience we know as the first vision.  Because of his simple act of faith, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was restored back to the earth.
