FAITH to ACT

FAITH = “Faith is the substance [assurance] of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen”

Jesus Christ - The Savior of the World

9 "O remember, remember, my sons, the words which king Benjamin spake unto his people; yea, remember that there is no other way nor means whereby man can be saved, only through the atoning blood of Jesus Christ, who shall come; yea, remember that he cometh to redeem the world." - (Helaman 5:9)

One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism

(Ephesians 4:4-6) - (4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; 5 ONE LORD, ONE FAITH, ONE BAPTISM, 6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.)

The Four Fold Mission of the Church

1. Perfecting the Saints 2. Preaching the gospel to all the world 3. Redeeming our Kindred Dead (Temples) 4. Caring for the poor and needy

1. ~ Strengthening Family - (Perfecting the Saints)

28 "And again, verily I say unto you, that every man who is obliged to provide for his own family, let him provide, and he shall in nowise lose his crown; and let him labor in the church." - (D&C 75:28)

2. (Proclaiming the Restored gospel to all nations, kindreds, tongues, and people)

29 And after having received the record of the Nephites, yea, even my servant Joseph Smith, Jun., might have power to translate through the mercy of God, by the power of God, the Book of Mormon. 30 And also those to whom these commandments were given, might have power to lay the foundation of this church, and to bring it forth out of obscurity and out of darkness, the only true and living church upon the face of the whole earth, with which I, the Lord, am well pleased, speaking unto the church collectively and not individually - (Doctrine and Covenants 1:29-30)

3. ~ FAMILY HISTORY- (Redeeming our kindred dead)

"Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead?" (1 Corinthians 15:29)

4. ~ (Caring for the poor and needy)

"And now, for the sake of these things which I have spoken unto you—that is, for the sake of retaining a remission of your sins from day to day, that ye may walk guiltless before God—I would that ye should impart of your substance to the poor, every man according to that which he hath, such as feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, visiting the sick and administering to their relief, both spiritually and temporally, according to their wants." (Mosiah 4:26)
